Biography
Roxana Mînzatu (43) is Secretary of State under the coordination of the Prime Minister of Romania, her job being to help better integrate and correlate EU and national funded programs.
She is a graduate in Political Science at the University of Bucharest (2002), with an MA in European integration (2005) and a Public Leadership Credential from Harvard Kennedy School of Government (2022). She has extensive experience in the field of European funds, acquired both in the private and public sectors. She started her career in EU programs in 2004 as European Integration Councilor in the Ministry of European Integration. In 2015 she was Secretary of State in the Ministry of European Funds, in charge with the European Social Fund and with the reform of public procurement. Later she was appointed president of the National Agency for Public Procurement. In 2020 she was elected Member of Parliament and in 2019 she served as Minister of European Funds. In the private sector she worked as consultant and trainer in companies in Bucharest, Brussels, and Brasov, with extensive experience in accessing and implementing ESF funded projects from entrepreneurs, managers, business owners, employees, and vulnerable population. Between 2011 and 2014 she managed a branch of the Romanian Business School Foundation which implemented EU funds to train and support entrepreneurs. In her private consulting activities, she was involved in preparing and implementing projects with European or national funding for a diverse range of beneficiaries from small businesses to local public administrations or NGOs.
