I am the director of ISEAK, a spanish research centre that was created in 2018 and whose research areas include unemployment, poverty and inclusion, employment in the digital transition and gender and immigration issues. Our methodology consists on applying data analytics to address a number of economic and social problems, using, combining and exploiting large microdata of various origins, such as administrative data or survey data gathered by statistical agencies or self-produced. In addition, we use counterfactual impact assesment for the evaluation of public policies. In addition, I am  Full Professor at the University of the Basque Country (Spain) and  Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labour (IZA) in Bonn. I was the President of the European Society for Population Economics (ESPE) in 2012.
